Joint pain and weight loss

Joint pain is extremely common and as such there are many conditions that can lead to painful joints including:

• Rheumatoid arthritis,
• Osteoarthritis,
• Gout,
• Bursitis,
• Sprains, and
• Strains.

As joints form the connections between bones, any damage to the joint from disease or injury can affect movement and cause significant pain.

Joint pain can affect any joint in the body but knee, shoulder, hip and ankle pain become increasingly more common as we age. Carrying excess weight on already irritated joints can increase the damage to the joint and in turn resulting in significant and debilitating pain.

Our exercise programmes are designed around your current lifestyle and can be done in the comfort of your own home. We use a combination of cardio and none weight bearing exercises to help build muscle around the affected joint to help support the joint while helping to maintain its range of motion.
